School Should Come Faster!

When most people see the title of this their normal reaction would be, "Why would ANYONE wanna go back to school?" Well i do. Summer has been fun most of the time with all the amazing summer activities and the last few weeks since July 30th have been the most boring weeks ever! (not counting church on sundays and wednesdays though :) ) Having nothing to do is really not fun. The only thing besides all the church summer activities that i have really had to do is clean. And i despise cleaning with a passion. Then 2 weeks ago, the dreaded and welcomed trip to walmart/office depot/staples to buy half of the school supplies that i had to have for my first year of high school. wow. im getting old. I love school supplies but i don't like school at all. Weird right? Hope im not the only one. Speaking of cleaning, i gotta go clean my room. Well techincally finish it, but yeah.

Well since today is a Sunday, i went to church today! (which i always do) Had so much fun seeing all my friends that i havent seen in a couple days and some that i havent seen for a couple weeks/ months! The Sunday School lesson for the 8th grade girls was really good! It was the last lesson on Andy Stanley's dvd: Destination. I urge you to pick it up if you havent already seen it! Anyway, we talked about how your attention determines your direction and your direction determines your destination! Had a really good discussion and definitely took alot of notes like i always do! Sat with Brittany Finch, Hannah Finch, Blakely Brown, and Liz Wiatt today! With Kem, Sydney, and Jack Anderson in front of me! Since our main pastor was on a mission trip to Malawi, our assistant pastor Kenny Hoomes, preached! He preached on Jeremiah 29:11. Jeremiah 29:11~ For i know the plans i have for you, declares the lord, plans to prosper you not to harm you. plans to give you a hope and a future! This verse has definitely helped me through alot! Today's fun doesn't end there for me though. At church tonight, we have youth camp review, a play performance, and a fellowship at Jessica, Weston, Elisabeth, and Sarah Epperson's house tonight! It's an eat and swim fellowship! So excited! Hope this bad weather here clears up beforehand though! :)

Youth Camp oh how i miss you so!

So this past week, me along with 140 or so students and 20-30 counselors went to the 4-H Center in Clanton, Alabama for Youth Camp 2011: Varsity! It was such a great week! There were tournaments of Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Soccer, and others! (i didn't play any but now i feel like i should have!) Everyday except Monday and Friday we had rec games which were fun but also had a little twist of friendly competition ;) Anyway, those where the, i would have to say some of the most fun things that i did all week! Of course, there was also a little competition among all the teams to see who could get the most points by the end of the week by memorizing scripture, playing the rec games, and various other things! I believe i memorized and said 13 bible verses/ passages! Of course, that's not as much as Kelsey Curtis who memorized every single one of the bible verses/ passages including the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 13:13! Anyway, the amazing Passion Band led by Brett Younker is the most amazing praise band that i know of (next to our youth group praise band anyway ;) ) Pastor Jay had some really great messages that he preached throughout the week on various Heroes of the Faith like Barnabus, Phillip, Peter, and one other! (i feel bad that i cant remember who it was.) well by the end of the week, i think everyone was exhausted! I know i was at least. Going to bed around 1 a.m. every morning isnt the best sleep pattern. Speaking of sleep, i havent even caught up on sleep yet and i have only been home for a day and a half. Going home friday was one of the hardest things i had to do all week!  i get attached to things very quickly and very easily! I definitely had mixed emotions when we pulled into the parking lot! Well, going to bed now! Hope all that went to Youth Camp 2011: Varsity had a great time and will never forget anything that happened while we were there! Before i forget, i was on team yellow and our team name was Yellow Feva! As named by Anna Sailors and team cheer made by Ed Cleveland! Goodnight! July 10, 2011!!

I look horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Hey Everyone! Ok so I got bored today so i thought i would go make a blog after reading one of my really good friend's blog! So here it is! I know it may not be really interesting but you know its just my life! :) Anyway, since its not that far into July, i can't really say too much about this month but whatever! :) So i really didn't do anything for the first 2 days but on the 3rd, I went to church that morning and did childcare in the nursery with the older 2's and younger 3's! Then i went to the youth center where i did the same thing that i do every week and I actually got to see some people i haven't seen in a while! Of course i went to Sunday School then the 11:00 service like every other sunday! But there was something special about that sunday........It was the 7 year anniversary of my baptism! :) (7/3/2004)! I went swimming that night with my mom and the next day as well even though it rained that night! :( Nothing really exciting Tuesday except for the fact that my mom's best friend's daughter's birthday was that day! she turned 10! she got a cell phone.....i think that she maybe should get it in a couple of years but oh well :/ Wednesday was LAKE DAY with the 7-12 graders and we had a blast! there was about 40-60 people there! I got sunburned super bad! i still have the sunburn + water blisters and peeling today so yep! Painful much? i think so! Nothing going on the rest of that week and today I just went to church and i got too see people that i haven't seen in forever! Then again....they are in college or going into college so.......yeah...... Anyway, LifeSong (the college choir) is performing tonight in church! Fellowship at Lyndsey's parent's house! its a swim fellowship! :)
